Holiday Craftacular – What You Can Do With Scissors

"O" is for.....‘Tis the season for fun filled crafting! Fa la la la la, la la la la! It’s Christmas time again and everywhere you look you see Christmas this and Christmas that. There are Christmas socks and Christmas hats, Elf shoes for dogs and Santa Beards for cats. We don’t really have any Christmas decorations besides some old lights, a box of ornaments and a few stockings. I don’t know why every year I hang up those old stockings since St. Nick and Santa never come by anymore to fill them up with holiday goodness. I always thought I lived up to Santa’s standards, but I guess not.

In order to get into the Christmas Spirit, Dan and I decided that we should make some crafts to replace TV time and those boring moments. So we decided to make a snowflake everyday until Christmas and hang them up in the window for all to enjoy. And I might say that they have turned out quite nicely. Everyday we get more and more creative with our folds and cutting techniques. We have cut squares, circles, squiggles, swirls and random shapes and no matter what we do, they always look great. Just make sure to not cut the fold the wrong way otherwise your snowflake will fall apart. And you can never really run out of paper since junk mail is always in your mailbox. I have to say that envelopes make great snowflake paper. But hey, use your imagination. Grab some paper, fold it a couple of times and cut it up.
